The seventh Angel
to be featured in the Sitting With An Angel bench campaign will be Kimberly
Dawn McClaskey, missing from London Mills, Illinois since July 16, 1983.
Kimberly was on her way to visit a cousin in London Mills, and planned to
return home that same evening. Her
belongings were found on July 16, 1983 in the Spoon River in London Mills. Kimberly was 17 years old at the time of her
disappearance, and she is classified as a non-family abduction.
Kimberlys bench will be dedicated on Friday, September 26th, at
3:00pm. The bench will be placed at
County Market, 3001 Broadway, Quincy, Illinois 62301. The public and media are invited to attend the dedication
ceremony.
The foundations MyID4Life Digital ID program for children aged 17 and under
will also be available before the dedication from 1:00 pm 3:00 pm. All participants receive their childs
digital fingerprints and photos on a diskette to take home with them. The diskette can then be given to law
enforcement should the need arise. This
program is offered free of charge as a public service; donations are accepted
to help offset the cost of the program.
