MyID4Life Program At Kids Day America
Richwoods, MO � September 17, 2003 � The Shawn Hornbeck Foundation has
partnered with the Waterloo Police Department to offer their free MyID4Life
digital child identification service at Kids Day America in Waterloo, Illinois
on Saturday, September 20th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The event is
sponsored by Dr. J. Tannous, Tannous Chiropractic, P.C., in cooperation with
the University of Illinois Extension, Monroe County, and will be held at
Morrison-Talbott Library.� The event
benefits the Waterloo D.A.R.E. Program and the Morrison-Talbott Library
children�s area.
Kids
Day America offers a variety of informational seminars, including Internet
Safety, Breastfeeding and Children�s Nutrition, along with a poison prevention
presentation and demonstrations on fire safety by the Waterloo Fire
Department.� Free handouts on children�s
health promotion and disease prevention, safety and environmental awareness
will also be available.
The event also features a free petting zoo and pony rides courtesy of Greatting
Horse Farms, a children�s play area, free balloons, Curly the Clown, prize
drawings and more.� Free food will be
provided courtesy of JV�s and the Monroe County Electric Cooperative, with free
beverages provided by Whole Body Health, Christian Gifts and Mountain Valley
Spring Water.
A Grand Prize Drawing will be held for a boy�s and girl�s 20� bicycle,
compliments of Waterloo
Wal-Mart, and an awards ceremony will kickoff the day at 12 Noon.� The Morrison-Talbott Library is located at
215 Park Street, Waterloo, IL 62298.�
